He Kaakano is an outpatient Kaupapa Maaori child and adolescent mental health team.
Our passionate, motivated team provides comprehensive assessment, case management and therapeutic intervention for tamariki, rangatahi and their whaanau who are referred with moderate to severe mental health challenges. We begin our day with waiata and karakia. You will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and receive cultural and clinical supervision.
So if you are an occupational therapist, registered nurse, clinical psychologist, social worker, or other health professional with experience working in a family/whaanau context, we want to hear from you!
Essential:
- Qualified health professional
- One year post qualification experience in a child or adolescent health field
- Knowledge of tikanga Maaori
- New Zealand driver’s licence
Desired:
- Postgraduate certificate or diploma in mental health
- Proficiency in te reo Rangatira
