Hauora Maori Scholarships now Open (close 7 April 2010)
1 min readApplications for the Hauora Maori Scholarships opened on 3 March 2010.
Online applications are now available for the Ministry of Health Hauora Maori Scholarships 2010.
The purpose of the scholarship is to assist students to study an NZQA accredited course in health and disability studies, in order to build Maori workforce capacity in the sector.
Hauora Maori Scholarships are open to any person who is:
- Enrolled and attending a University, Polytechnic, Wananga or College of Education
- Studying a health related, NZQA accredited course, of at least 12 weeks duration
- Can demonstrate a commitment to and/or competence in, M?ori health and well-being studies
- Has whakapapa and/or cultural links with te ao M?ori or M?ori communities
Please note you are not eligible if you are:
- employed by the Ministry of Health or a District Health Board
- in receipt of a District Health Board or Clinical Training Agency (CTA) scholarship/grant for 2010.
