Kainga Whenua Loan Scheme
Buying a home in a recession and on ancestral land would be a dream for many but for those involved in the Kainga whenua loans scheme its possible.

But is it too good to be true?

The issue of multiple ownership means the way forward is not an easy one, not to mention families still have to raise a deposit. But 200 families are willing to give it a go and have submitted their applications to the Kinga Whenua Loan Scheme. Tahuri Tumoana visits the community of Tauranga Moana to investigate.
