Taitamariki Prevention Coordinators (2FTE)
Maketu Health and Social Services (MHASS) provide primary health, mental health and addiction services to the local community and wider surrounding areas. We are passionate about empowering people to achieve and maintain the highest possible quality of life.
The Taitamariki Prevention programme is a new and innovative service aimed at positively impacting on the wellbeing of whanau by engaging with taitamariki to strengthen protective factors and reduce the risks of developing substance misuse problems. The programme is the first truly preventative programme of its kind in New Zealand.
We wish to appoint two experienced clinicians to develop, co-ordinate and provide this service. These positions involve supporting taitamariki within whanau ora approaches, including whanau and taitamariki assessment, whanau plan development, consultation/liaison and delivery of the Te Pae Mahutonga programme.
The ideal applicants will hold a clinical health qualification and have experience working with tamariki and rangatahi in addiction or mental health settings.
Requirements of the position:
- Health qualification
- Previous experience with taitamariki and whanau
- Previous experience with mental health and/or addictions
- Knowledge of the health/social services sector- Understanding of Te Reo me Tikanga
