Kia Ora Gaza

Gazas 1.5 million people are imprisoned by the state of Israel in a giant concentration camp. The Israeli military enforces a blockade of essential supplies. There is terrible suffering, especially among the children. The citizens of Gaza face collective punishment, which is illegal under international law.

On 31 May 2010, a Gaza aid flotilla was hijacked on the open sea by Israels military. Nine civilian aid workers were shot to death. To break the siege of Gaza, on 12th September mass aid convoys will set off from London by sea and land. We want to see Kiwi volunteers and aid go with them.

Kia Ora Gaza is raising funds to make this possible.

  1. I agree – What a bunch of dickheads – mind you I dont know who's the bigger dickhead, roger or people who run web sites like this who support him.

  2. Rodger Fowler is the last of the communists. he and his little band of leftists are going to go and diliver much needed aid – by driving 4000Km and taking with them a drop in the bucket compared to whats gets routinely taken in -in one week alone 1,166 truckloads carrying 23,279 tons of humanitarian aid (including food, goods, and fuel) were transferred into the Gaza Strip , and 324 patients and accompanying individuals left the Strip for medical purposes.

Tell me again rodger, thats its not being done for politics.

  3. “Kia Ora Gaza is on a peaceful humanitarian mission." – what a load of crap and what a bunch of dickheads you are. Im not too sure what to hope for either,1: The Israelis take you all out for being the dickheads you all are. or, 2: they simply wave you through with no problems thus denying your septic little band of dickheads any propaganda.

Think I might opt for option 1:

  4. Israeli ambassador oversteps

    mandate, says Gaza aid group

Kia Ora Gaza, whose six-person Kiwi Team will join September's international aid convoy to Gaza, believes Israel's ambassador to New Zealand is exceeding his diplomatic mandate.

Speaking to TV1 on 9th August the Israeli ambassador, Shemi Dzur, claimed Kia Ora Gaza was being "provocative" and stated: "This is not a natural Kiwi operation – this is really a hatred kind of operation to undermine Israel."

    (Source: TVNZ website. http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/kiwi-gaza-aid-con

The ambassador's comments were rejected by the Gaza aid group.

"The actions of Kia Ora Gaza are legal under both New Zealand and international law," said Roger Fowler, captain of the Kiwi aid team.

"Kia Ora Gaza is on a peaceful humanitarian mission. We are fund-raising to deliver aid to people in Gaza. They are suffering under an Israeli siege which has been condemned by the United Nations, International Red Cross and most other world bodies."

"The Israeli ambassador represents a state which imprisons the people of Gaza, and hijacks humanitarian ships on the open sea and shoots civilian aid workers. In a bid to justify the unjustifiable, the ambassador is now attacking Kia Ora Gaza."

"The Israeli ambassador's public attack on Kia Ora Gaza oversteps his diplomatic mandate which prohibits him from attacking New Zealand citizens inside their own country," said Mr Fowler.
