The Maori Mai, Maori Atu : Grass Roots Oranga Hui will be held at the Heritage Hotel in Rotorua from the 11th 13th August 2010.

The theme of the Hui is based on the strategic mission of Nga Ngaru Hauora o Aotearoa Te Huarahi Tika o te tino Rangatiratanga mai i te whakawhanaungatanga Kokiritia me to Kotahitanga | The pathway to self determination is through us all coming together and spearheading the thrust as one with the intention of this Hui to bring together our people to encourage them to work together (cluster) for the betterment of all our people in all areas relating to Whanau Ora through Grass Roots Oranga.

The programme will incorporate Inspirational Speakers such as: Professor Margaret Mutu and Mere Balzer (Te Runanga o Kirikiriroa), Plenary Panel Discussions as well as a range of presentations from our Regional Grass Roots Oranga Kaimahi.

Nga Ngaru Hauora o Aotearoa would like to invite Whanau, Hapu, Iwi, Koeke, Nurses, Community / Support / Social Workers, Hauora Providers, Education Providers, Consumers and Government Officials to attend this monumental hui the theme of which is….

At present we have Professor Margaret Mutu and Mere Balzer confirmed to speak at our hui, however we are currently contacting additional inspirational guest speakers from within various arenas of hauora for inclusion in our programme.
