Fashion Week Report

Phoenix, House of Makeup recently put on an ultra feminine and extravagant appearance for its Debut show at Fashion Week. In the ever first runway show of its kind, I revealed the launch of my brand new collection ‘5 Shades of Summer’ featuring our latest innovative and fabulous products, at NZ Fashion WEEKEND.

The star studded extravaganza was a huge sold-out success, and I was very humbled to be given a 10/10 rating by the Alist, and make front page of the Herald on Sunday. The event was popular over-packed and we unfortunately had to turn away more than 100 people who were all trying to get into see the show.

The Phoenix Cosmetics makeup show was modelled by several TV2 Shortland Street beauties including Faye Smythe (aka Nurse Tania Jeffries), Sally Martin (aka Nurse Nicole Miller), Kimberley Crossman (aka Sophie McKay), and Frankie Adams (aka Ula Levi),as well as glamorous local songstresses Zeisha Fremaux and Hayley Fisher, and the stunning model, fashion blogger and owner of Design Trader, Claire Hahn.

The show was star-studded in more ways than one. I was also delighted to have worked with Swarovski Crystals to create something really special with body crystals – It was an amazing showcase of makeup teamed with fashion.

The collection hits all the major trends for summer 2011, featuring looks that are light and carefree, playfully romantic, dazzling and sparking, and everything in between.
Take your pic from Five delicious new looks for summer that personify elegance but fun, and re create them at home.

‘Summer Romance’ melts together the beams of morning glow with the lazy, carefree and nostalgic vibes of summer. The playful pink palette will inspire a dream of a long, rosy, romantic summer day.

‘Dreaming of Sahara’ is the fusion of the burning shades of Africa. Become a goddess and soak up the complexion of the landscape – vibrant orange, neon pink and a dangerous demeanor.

GET THE LOOK:

Dare to be bold and sport a brightly coloured neon shade on your lips. This instantly attracts and looks amazing on deeper toned skin.

‘Sunset Haze’ is a walk through the hues of harmony. Indulging in the dusk, this divine shade embodies a perfect summer sunset with purple, violet, magenta and candy floss clouds.

GET THE LOOK:

Play with colour, try this season’s favourites: lilac, orange and yellow – all of the colours of the sunset.

‘Midnight Delusion ‘ is for the evening seductress who wishes to dazzle, sparkle and amaze. The deep blue shades will bring out the dark side and transform any woman into a voluptuous vintage vixen.
