Local Bus hits Korean tourists in Central Rotorua
1 min readStuff is reporting that a woman, believed to be an Asian tourist in her 40s, has been taken to Rotorua Hospital in a critical condition after she was hit by a bus in the central city this afternoon.
The accident happened about 2.10pm at the intersection of Amohau and Tutanekai Streets.
The woman was in a critical condition, a St John ambulance northern communications spokesman said.
A person who was at the scene said he believed the woman suffered a serious head injury.
TangataWhenua.com was there right after this accident occured and understand that a group of what seemed to be Korean tourists were crossing the street in a section where several weeks ago a young Maori girl was hurt, the local transit bus was bound for Ngongotaha.
