BOB HENARE & HARRY PITMAN EXCELLENCE AWARDS

The Excellence Awards are in honour of Bob Henare and Harry Pitman and their many contributions to M?ori leadership in the mental health and addiction sectors.

The overall aim of these Awards is to support M?ori Leadership in the Addictions and Mental Health sector by recognising excellence, innovation and best practice.

The Bob Henare Excellence Award
Recognising and endorsing professional achievements and high levels of excellence within rangatahi Maori (under 25 years) in Maori mental health and encourages the development of innovative approaches to achieving best outcomes for tangata whaiora and wh?nau.

  • Two awards to the value of $5,000 each will be made in 2012

The Harry Pitman Excellence Award
Recognising and endorsing professional achievements and high levels of M?ori excellence in addiction services and encourages the development of innovative approaches to achieving best outcomes for consumers and wh?nau.

TA TATOU MAHERE KOROWAI AWARDS 2012 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN

Establishing Rangatahi Advisory Groups for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Addiction and Whanau Ora Service Providers

The aim of the Ta Tatou Mahere Korowai Award is to assist in the establishment of Rangatahi Advisory Groups for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Addiction and Whanau Ora services, via the implementation of Ta Tatou Mahere Korowai (Guidelines to Setting Up Rangatahi Advisory Groups for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Addiction, and Whanau Ora Services).

The Ta Tatou Mahere Korowai provides a model for Mental Health, Addiction and Wh?nau Ora Services to infuse the views and aspirations of rangatahi and by doing so, ensure services are meeting their needs.
