1 min read

Te Paepae Ataata have commissioned Maui Films Ltd to produce eight short films in te reo Maori, the stories of the Life of Maui.

The films will be between eight to twelve minutes long, and will be brought together as a single ground-breaking feature film, Te Oranga a Maui.

We are looking for filmmakers to tell these stories.

The successful applicants will have some experience in visual storytelling, at least intermediate ability in te reo Maori, and ideally the backing of their iwi to tell one of their Maui stories.

  1. Kia Ora,
I’m interested in paticiparing in this venture. I would like to be a part of this and find film and television exciting. I have had 4 years experience in film in television at Matapuna Training Centre and kPat Makeri was my kaiako. I am good with camera techniques and able to work independantly or within a group.
I enjoy traveling arounid to find great location to film different angles and shots.
Hope to here from you soon.

    Kia Ora,

    Sandie Lee Reihana
