Forward to your whanau with all those amazing skills and talent, first prize is $100k!!!

Weatherman Tamati Coffey has been announced as the new host of New Zealand’s Got Talent.

TVOne’s new entertainment series is set to hit our screens in coming months after auditions are held throughout the country.

Coffey says the opportunity to host New Zealand’s biggest talent show is an honour and an enormous challenge.

Whanau are being asked to encourage as many Maori parents of talented tamariki to enter their children in the upcoming family-friendly TV1 series, New Zealand’s Got Talent.

There is no cost to enter and first prize is $100,000! Application forms can be downloaded from the TVNZ website from this Sunday, April 1st, with auditions to be held across the country during May and June.

They are looking to celebrate talent across the board – musicians, dancers, drummers, singers, musicians, cheerleaders, gymnists, animal trainers, magicians, kapa haka wizards – you name it!

  1. I think it’s a good idea to make this show. But is it going to be big? That’s questionable.

I think Tamati is a good choise in host, for the time being. Would I picked him from the crowd of presenters for the show? No. Not that he would be a possibility. Having said that, he’s a great presenter, and he will do a great job.
