Dance Revival at Tamatekapua – St Faith’s Fundraiser
1 min read
Te Arawa whanau in Rotorua will be taking a stroll down memory lane as they make their way down to Ohinemutu’s Tamatekapua in late October. From what we know, there hasn’t been a dance at Tamatekapua since the 1960s so whanau who attend will be in for a real treat.
The “Tama Dance Revival Spectacular” will be held on Saturday Oct 27, 2012.The evening will start in Whakaturia at 6.00-pm with drinks, canapes and catching up before heading over to Tama to dance for a couple of hours to the music of Mina Mitai’s big band.
A delicious buffet supper will then be provided back in Whakaturia with entertainment provided by Rewa and Mick Ututaonga and a host of others. A cash bar will be operating at this time.
They tell us that there is a limit of 150 tickets at $60 each for the evening and these can be purchased from the following wahine ataahua:
- Nubby Searancke 02102789061
- Gay Kingi 3457186
- Josie Scott 3487560
