Emergency Siren Test, Mt Maunganui & Papamoa, Fri 19th Oct

1 min read

On Friday, October 19th, the coastal communities of Mt Maunganui and Papamoa have invited Tactical Tooling to test their emergency sirens here in response to feedback that the council’s currently proposed system is “not loud enough” and “too expensive.”

This alternative system uses modified ‘WWII air raid style sirens’ and will be louder than existing ‘fire sirens.’

Tests will be conducted in Papamoa at 9:00am and at 10:30am at the Mount
