John Key announces Snap Election after MPs steal Easter Eggs

Early reports from the Beehive indicate that Prime Minister John Key has stood down Hekia Parata, Simon Bridges and Tau Henare in a move to open up space for the return of Don Brash, Roger Douglas and Richard Prebble, leading to a surprise Snap Election, which will be held later today just before Shortland Street, sources indicate.

2468691“When all hope is lost, the best thing to do is to toss those we don’t need overboard and make way for a new set of pirates” said Mr Key

It has emerged that the National Party Easter Egg jar had been raided over the weekend, with all eyes turning to Gerry Brownlee. After a full inquest, it was revealed that Tau Henare had stolen the eggs from the easter egg jar, sharing them amongst his colleagues MP Simon Bridges and Hekia Parata.

Sources indicate that all three were found with cream egg all over their faces. Nonecould not be reached for comment.
