An Important Announcement for Social Development Partners Members

Last week, ANGOA, Social Development Partners and Volunteering New Zealand signed a partnership agreement.

This bold initiative formalises common will to work together to support a more robust voluntary and community sector, and better support its members throughout the country.

The three organisations are committed to working together to:

* promote and demonstrate sustainable community development, by actively making linkages across social, spiritual, economic, cultural and environmental well-beings, with a particular focus on the voluntary and community sector;

* provide strategic advocacy and leadership within and on behalf of the voluntary and community sector;
foster collaborative responses to areas of identified need, particularly in the area of social wellbeing;

* and develop the capacity of community and voluntary organisations to meet their own needs and participate in civic affairs.
