Te Karere needs someone who knows what it is like to work in a fast paced, future-focused news and current affairs setting. Someone who can deliver reliable and accurate stories from the gallery, across all our platforms and programmes.
You’ll have an intense interest and proven experience in political reporting plus a real commitment to journalism. Ideally you’ll have a broad television journalism background and it would be great if you have previously covered a general election. You will also have a high understanding and fluency of te reo Maori.
You need to care about accuracy and not be afraid to work hard. “Keeping them honest” will need you to be tough and not shirk away from conflict, while operating fairly and ethically.
