Tuhoe take tennis titles in Hamilton

Ngai Tuhoe has won three singles tennis titles at the 83rd Aotearoa Maori Tennis Championships at Hamilton.

Whare Wharepapa, Te Kani Williams and Tiki Garratt (all pictured) won the titles; Wharepapa is a teacher at Ruatoki, Williams is a mokopuna of Tom and Kaa Williams and Garratt is the Executive Director of Te Tohu Takaro o Aotearoa Charitable Trust that promotes and fosters Maori sportsmanship. Each year the championship is held in the Waikato and the Patron is Kingi Tuheitia.
