Applications are now open for a limited number of scholarships to cover travel, accommodation and registration expenses for ethnic community women to participate in the 2010 WSANZ Connecting Women: Respecting Differences Conference.
The theme of this conference is exploring the diverse experiences of women according to their ethnicity, culture, age, sexuality, religion, disability, and other differences. We strongly encourage ethnic community women to attend and present at the 2010 WSANZ Connecting Women: Respecting Differences Conference. We also recognise that financial barriers to participation disproportionately affect women in marginalised social groups. Thus, applications are now invited from Maori and Pasifika women, ethnic, migrant, and refugee women living in New Zealand.
An application form is attached. We encourage you to distribute this information via your networks, and to actively encourage women who may be interested in participating in this conference to apply. If awarded, the scholarship will cover conference registration fees, the conference dinner, travel costs if travelling from outside of Hamilton/Kirikiriroa, and accommodation costs (staying at The University of Waikato student halls).
Applications close on 16th August 2010.
