Boy dominates Qantas Media Award finalists

Boy continues to scale new heights and has dominated this year’s film category nominations for the Qantas Film and Television Awards.

The movie, the #1 NZ film of all time, received 13 nominations, closely followed by Home By Christmas, which has 10 nominations, Under the Mountain with seven and The Vinter’s Luck with six.

Boy’s nominations included Best Director for Taika Waititi, who was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor alongside Te Aho Eketone-Whitu who plays Rocky, Boy’s youner brother. James Rolleston, who plays Boy was also nominated for Best Lead Actor.

The red carpet Qantas Film and Television Awards Gala will be held at the Civic Theatre on September 18.
