Maori are getting closer to picking a flag, but Maori Party MP Hone Harawira is staying mum about one stand-out favourite.  Mr Harawira has been at most of the hui around the country. Maori have a choice of four national flags, and the decision process finishes tomorrow.

He says while the red ensign’s already flown on marae, old soldiers like the standard New Zealand flag, and the 1835 confederations flag is getting support because of its history.  Mr Harawira won’t reveal the overall favourite but it is believed the tino rangatiratanga flag is in pole position.
