Nokia Labs has released version trial of this application for blind and visually impaired that reproduces the text messages on the touch screen terminals through haptic feedbakc, a system that interacts with the user through the sense of touch by applying forces, vibrations, or movement to the mobile phone.
Nokia Braille Reader, which opens automatically whenever a message is received, has been developed by the laboratories of Nokia, in conjunction with the University of Tampere and the Finnish Federation of the Disabled Visuales. De currently in beta testing this application is for AVAILABLE all touchscreen phones that run Nokia’s Symbian S60 and Nokia N97, 5800 XpressMusic, N97 mini, 5530, 5230 and X6.
