The NOC Service Analyst is primarily an operational role under NOC, with a focus on problem management to ensure flow through of incident management, and the implementation of network change requests. This role will concentrate mainly on the mobile network infrastructure on the Core and RAN/BSS networks, and liaise with Core Network Level 2 support to ensure timely resolution of escalated network issues. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring NOC processes are implemented, and will take over the NOC shifting schedule as and when required, and manage the handover between the morning and afternoon shifts.

To be considered for this position, you will need to have:

  • An Engineering Degree covering Telecommunications
  • A reasonable understanding of mobile technologies
  • An interest in Mobile Core Network and RAN/BSS Networks
  • Previous experience working within a technical, IT or telecommunications environment
  • Good computer skills
  • A disciplined approach to recurring and repeating responsibilities
  • A process oriented approach
  • An ability to learn and desire to pick up new skills
  • An ability to provide technical advice & leadership within the NOC team
  • Quality driven with good analytical skills
  • Good communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Customer service focus

While standard business hours apply, there will be times when scheduled work must be performed after hours, so all applicants must be flexible to work on-call to be able to fulfill the requirements of this role. The Core NOC Service Analyst will be required to be available when shifts need to be filled during sick days, holidays and training to provide continuity across the teams and their shifts.
