Te Kura Reo Rua o Waikirikiri (GIVEALITTLE)

1 min read

What we’re doing to make a difference:

Strengthening the connections our tamariki and whanau have to their Ngati Porou whakapapa, regenerating Te Reo me ona Tikanga o Ngati Porou and providing high quality academic and cultural education. Involvement with extra-curricular activities is a challenge for many whanau to afford and we need extra support for these activities.

Our track record:

Thousands of young people from Kaiti have come through Waikirikiri. The school has been able to strengthen their sense of identity, build on the stuff they are great at, increase their sense of responsibility and generosity. Students and their whanau benefit from participation in sports groups as involvement increases confidence, pride and sense of being part of the wider community.
