This brief panui is the formal call for presentations to those interested in presenting at the second, software neutral, Maori GIS conference to be held in Wellington in September.

If you use Arc or MapInfo or Geomedia or Open Source or just have an interest in what is happening in GIS within Te Ao Maori the conference is an opportunity to share and learn.

The presentation format is 15 minute presentations, 5 minute Q&A and panel sessions and our focus remains:

  • Maori GIS projects and GIS related projects relevant to Maori aspiration. Each presenter is asked to remember our conference kaupapa within their presentation.

Those interested in sharing their experiences/projects are invited to respond to this email address with a short bio and a short description of their presentation. To those who have already indicated they are happy to present at the hui, your details have been noted but please respond to this email (to help smooth the conference management pathways). Please forward this panui on to your networks.

Please visit the following sites for more information [email protected] to view the kaupapa of the group; or to to view last years presentations.
