Free rongoa wananga: Pharmac

PHARMAC is offering a FREE two-day wananga on medicines including rongoa for Maori health professionals working with Maori whanau.

This wananga is for you if you want to:

learn more about medicine
improve your knowledge regarding the safe and effective use of medicines
develop techniques to encourage whanau to self-manage medicines as part of maintaining overall health and/ or
improve your understanding of Rongoa Maori.


Facilitators include leading health professionals Dr Peter Jansen, Dr Rawiri Jansen, Maria Barnes (Kairongoa) and Leanne Te Karu (Maori Pharmacist).


Preference is given to Registered Maori Nurses working in a primary care role or Maori Community Health Workers who are committed to positive health outcomes for whanau. Please contact us if you wish to discuss your eligibility.
