SYNOPSIS
While there is an insurmountable number of All Black Greats, there are none that can bring out a poster in the crowds at cricket, soccer or cycling venues anywhere in the world. . . requesting the recall of a player nearly 20 years after his last appearance. . . . but that is the undisputed mana of Wayne Buck Shelford BRING BACK BUCK!

This documentary will chronicle Bucks life in his own words, supported by many of his whanau, friends, coaches and colleagues that know him best. It begins with his infamous dropping from the All Blacks and the slogan that has cemented him in NZ history BRING BACK BUCK!

It then chronicles his rugby career as we learn more about him & his family, starting from high school days through to being in the Navy, getting married, life after the All Blacks, living internationally and his plans for the future.

Director/Producer and whanaunga to Wayne, Aroha Shelford, says it was a real honour to make a programme about my own relation! It was even more humbling to listen to people talk so highly of him and his whanau. . . .it really was a beautiful thing and makes me very proud! Its really hard to cover a persons life in just 1 hour, but if there is one thing I hope people get out of this doco is that with hard work, passion and commitment anyone can live a fruitful life and be an inspirational hero to others! – BRING BACK BUCK!!!
