The NgaTM Festival, 7-8 Jan, Te Kaha

The NgaTM Festival will be held from Friday 7 to Saturday 8 January 2011 outdoors at Te Whanau-a-Apanui School in beautiful Te Kaha.

Two Days of a mini summer music festival, an information and national networking hui regarding mining and drilling concerns, musical composition wananga for Rangatahi, stalls and sandsculpturing down at the beach.

On Saturday starting at 6 pm the programme features performances from some of the top NZ bands and musicians including: Northlands rising stars Reggae Band – 1814, Honey songstress Maisey Rika with the acoustic soul of brother JJ and the extraordinary vocal and musical talents of Tama Waipara and Band.

Awesome local Koastie talent will be showcased throughout the evening too.

During the day there will be sandsculpturing on the beach and a composing Wananga for Rangatahi with Tama Waipara.

On the Friday 7 Jan, a national hui has been called to share information, network and discuss our concerns about the offshore and onshore mining and drilling. Powhiri is at 10 am at Kaiaio Marae, Te Kaha

Gates open for ticket sales at 4.30pm. Concert starts 6 pm

$20 single, $35 Whanau, over 65s under 5s FREE
