Maori Art Market (6-9 October 2011)

MAORI ART MARKet is an iconic biennial event produced by Toi Maori Aotearoa.

Pataka Museum and Gallery and Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua City, Wellington will once again play host for MAORI ART MARKet. The 2011 Market will be on from the 6th – 9th of October.

This event allows the general public to view and buy the best contemporary Maori and Pacific art that New Zealand has to offer. MAORI ART MARKet 2011 will bring together over 200 Maori visual artists, musicians and culinary experts

Also attending, will be international guests from Japan, Canada, United States and the Pacific.

This showcase will take place only 20 minutes from downtown Wellington. Parking will be available at the venue, as well as public transport – the Airport Flyer and the trains will provide efficient transportation to and from the venue, departing from Wellington Central Station, arriving at Porirua Railway Station. MAORI ART MARKet signage will guide the rest of the way to the venue.
