Mana magazine reaches publishing milestone

1 min read

Mana magazine has just published its 100th issue.

Since the first Mana was published in late 1992 weve brought hundreds of thousands of readers, thousands of stories. Theyre stories that matter to Maori, told from a Maori perspective. Stories that come straight from the heartland and often ones you dont read in the everyday media, says Manas founding editor and publisher, Derek Fox.

In these tough times when print is the poor relation to its more glamorous media peers, getting to issue 100 is a real achievement, he adds.

Mana, which has always called itself the Maori magazine for all New Zealanders, is independently financed another reason for the small team to be proud of reaching Issue 100.
