Pukana presents – Concert for Christchurch

Award-winning Maori language youth show PUKANA will stage a day of fun and entertainment to lift the spirits of youth in Maori language schools affected by the Christchurch earthquake tomorrow (Friday May 13).

Presenters Te Ataakura Pewhairangi, Tiare Tawera and Herea Winitana will be joined by performers including Maisey Rika and JJ, Adam Whauwhau and Sista Waitoa as well as Tianara Taikaha of PUKANA fame.

Four Christchurch Maori language schools have been invited to a morning of games followed by a concert from 12 noon to 12.50 pm and again from 1.00 pm to 1.50 pm hosted by Te Kura Whakapumau i te Reo Tuturu ki Waitaha, in Hassals Lane, Opawa.

PUKANA screens on Maori Television every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 6.00 PM as well as on Te Reo every weekday at 7.00 PM and TV3 every Sunday at 9.05 AM.
