FREE Study Skills Programmes run by MIT in Manurewa

Please circulate this email to anyone you know that may be interested in developing their study skills as a pathway towards further study – places on these courses are FREE and open to anyone in Manurewa!

James Cook High School are working with MIT to offer students and adults alike the chance to develop their learning skills in preparation for further study.

MIT’s successful Headstart Programme will be offered free to the community in the July school holidays, and is aimed at anyone who is thinking of going on to university, taking a higher level course, or re-trying education as an adult and wanting to brush up on those study skills!

The programme is open to anyone over the age of 17 – you don’t have to be a student at James Cook High.

Course Info:

  • Courses will run Monday 18th July – Thursday 21st July, and Monday 25th July – Thursday 28th July between 10am and 3pm
  • There will be two modules – Study Skills and Academic Writing
