Ngati Wahiao Gets Election!

Ngati Wahiao is pleased to announce that a negotiated agreement has been reached.

After a long and arduous day in the Auckland High Court in front of Justice Joe Williams an agreement was reached.

Ngati Wahiao went to the High Court to seek orders from the Court directing the trustees of the Whakarewarewa Joint Trust to call a meeting of its beneficiaries for the purpose of electing four trustees for Tuhourangi Ngati Wahiao on to the Whakarewarewa Joint Trust.

Ngati Wahiao is pleased to announce to all beneficiaries that an election for the trustees will take place on the agreed date Sunday Sept 11 at Wahiao Wharenui, Te Pakira Marae, in Whakarewarewa time to be confirmed.

Election Process details are being discussed by both parties over the next seven days with Justice Joe Williams expecting a report back in seven days.
