Ngawai Herewini – Mana candidate for Northland

I am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy in the upcoming General Election to be held in November 2011.

I will be representing Mana in the Northland General Seat.

We will be launching tomorrow, Wednesday the 14th of September 12.00pm -12.30pm, at the Dobra Dosli sign by the round- about outside the new Kaitaia Pak n Save Store.

Candidate Profile

My name is Ngawairongoa (Ngawai) Herewini

My iwi affiliations are Ngapuhi, Tuhoe, Tainui. I was born in this region and have lived and worked here most of my life.

I hold fast to the values of Whanau and believe in a healthy vibrant community. Our community in the far north is an exciting and diverse animal and the person chosen to represent this region must understand the desires and the dreams of the people of this area.

I believe that I am that person.

I am proud, conscientious, honest and I want everyone to have access to good education, health and meaningful employment. A high standard of living must be the prerogative of everybody.

I believe in myself totally and I ask for your support to represent you at the highest level.

I am comfortable in all situations and will be a great representative of you the people.
