Unitec Flashback Flash Mob at Queens Wharf – 17-18 September

Unitec’s Year 3 acting students will take to the Rugby World Cup stage at Queens Wharf this weekend.

Rugby World Cup visitors and locals will be entertained by an interactive comedic ‘Flashback Flash Mob’ involving 21 actors and 3 musicians. The students will be interacting with the crowds along the main forecourt area of the Wharf (across from Britomart).

“19th century Tamaki Makaurau reasserts itself on Queens Wharf,” describes Unitec head of acting, John Davies. “The entertainment our students are providing is part the Maritime and Auckland History heritage weekend, which is part of the Rugby World Cup events programme on Queens Wharf (aka Party Central).

If you are heading down to Queens Wharf this weekend, keep an out for staggered performances on both Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am and 3pm.
