  1. Was at a hui in Paihia today (Tai Tokerau District Maori Council) there is going to be a movement to use the original Maori district boundaries as another option for Tai Tokerau settlement. Without the your either in or out option heralded by Tuhoronuku members. During the Urgent hearing 18/06/2014 the Crown was hammered because they didn’t make aware to Ngapuhi there were any other viable options. They showed bias by only acknowledging the Tuhoronuku mandate process to the tune of $3 million as it fit into the large natural groupings policy of OTS (Office of Treaty Settlement). They didn’t afford Kotahitanga or any other group with ‘other’ options the same funding option to develop the other strategies.
