Maori-Party co-leader Pita Sharples is likely to attend the Maori Kings hui on water ownership being held next Thursday.

Dr Sharples office today confirmed to 3 News that hes likely to go, despite his fellow co-leader Tariana Turia saying yesterday she didnt see any point in her party going because it’s for iwi.

The revelation comes on the back of former colleague Hone Harawiras tirade of criticism on Facebook about the ordeal.

Mr Harawira called the Maori Party house n****rs in response to both the Governments and the Maori Partys decision not to attend the hui.

Ms Turia said the comments were offensive, unfair and untrue.

Ive never been a house niggers and I dont take kindly to be called one, she said.

The hui is being held at Turangawaewae Marae in Ngaruawahia and has been called by Maori King Tuheitia Paki.
