Call for nominations for the NZ Geographic Board

Hon Maurice Williamson in his capacity as Minister for Land Information is seeking nominations for appointment to the NZ Geographic Board.

The Minister must appoint:

two persons as representatives of Maori who have knowledge of tikanga Maori and te reo Maori and can provide advice in relation to the naming of geographic features and Crown protected areas for which tikanga Maori or te reo Maori is relevant;

one person nominated by Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu

one person nominated by the NZ Geographical Society

one person nominated by the Federated Mountain Clubs of NZ

one person nominated by Local Government NZ

two nominees on the recommendation of the Minister.

Please forward the candidates CV; a statement from the candidate as to whether they have an financial, professional interests that might create a conflict and a statement as to whether there is anything in their personal history that might make candidacy inappropriate.
