He Tane Maori Pasifika $80,000 Scholarship to study in Singapore

2 min read

UWC is an organization that granted me an $80,000 scholarship to study and live in Canada for two years with 160 students from over 80 different countries. It is been the greatest experience of my life and has opened the doors to many more international opportunities such as studying university abroad.

Right now, UWC is urgentlysearching for a Maori or Pacific Islander rangatahitane (male) who would be interested in studying and living in Singaporefor two years on an all-inclusive scholarship.

Requirements is that the applicant must be:

be New Zealand citizens

between the ages of 15 and 17 (although there are exceptions)

from the Maori or Pacific Islander community

from a background whose family economic circumstances are modest, and without this scholarship opportunity, would not have had the opportunity to come to UWCSEA (UWC Singapore)

who both wishes to share his culture with fellow students, and learn about the diverse cultures of fellow students.

academically competent, so that he can successfully undertake the International Baccalaureate programme.

proactive in outlook, so that he can make the most of the opportunities available (academic, service, sports, drama, travel).

willing to engage in the life of our Boarding community, and be generally adaptable.

Applicants must still fill out an application, attend an interview and win over the judges beforereceivingthe scholarship.

If people want to know more, they can read about it and find the application
