Kainga Tupu Maori Art Exhibition Opening, Melbourne, Friday 4th April, 7pm

Federation Square and Melbourne-based artist/curator Frances Pomare, bring together a collection of works from some of Aotearoa’s finest Contemporary Maori artists based throughout Melbourne and Aotearoa.

The overall kaupapa of the show talks about how Maori have adapted to the modern world whilst still maintaining culture and tradition. This is spoken through each artists work using various mediums both modern and traditional.

Join us for the official opening of what is sure to be a night of cultural explosion encompassing art, kai, waiata and kapahaka performance right in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
