Tena koutou,

1614194_10201023463423571_982350448_oThe Mokoia Island Biosecurity Network checks will be run on Monday 17th and Thursday 20thMarch, meeting at the DOC yard at Scott St at8:30amon both days. Please feel free to extend this invitation out to your wider networks so we can include as many people as we can in this important work.

Day 1 (Monday) will be the longer of the two days, when we will check, reset and rebait the entire trapping and tracking network, and will aim to be back at Scott St by4pm. This of course depends on the number of helpers we get for the day! Day 2 (Thursday) should be shorter, as we will be checking the entire network for any unwanted tracks or animals but shouldnt need to rebait/reset anything. Aim to finish by2-2:30pmon this day.

For those that do decide to join us, just a reminder to do a check through your gear at home before meeting us for quarantine to make this process as quick as possible. Clearing out rats and mice is obviously the main idea, but good to check those socks, Velcro, pockets etc for seeds, bugs and soil too.

Please reply to this email or call/text me on the number below if you would like to join us on either day (or both!).

Naku noa,

Erin Patterson
