This year’s Hui-a-Iwi willbe held at Waipapa Marae, Kawhia, on Sunday 22 February 2015, starting 10am.

Nominations are invited for membership of the Executive Committee.

Te Runanganui o Ngati Hikairo

Ngati Hikairo ki Kawhia are an independent iwi of Tainui Waka origin and maintain theirmana motuhake and tino rangatiratanga in Kawhia, Oparau and Waipa in the King Country and Waikato regions. The iwi authority is Te Runanganui o Ngati Hikairo. Ngati Hikairo is a confederation of hapu which include the following:

Te Whanau Pani, Ngati Te Mihinga, Ngati Horotakere,Ngai Pare, Ngati Rahui,Ngati Purapura,Ngati Wai, Te Matewai, Ngati Parehinga, Ngati Whatitiri, Ngati Puhiawe,Ngati Hineue, Ngati Te Uru, Ngati Pokaia, Nga Uri-a-Te Makaho,Te Whanau-o-Te Ake, Ngati Taiuru, Ngati Waikaha, Ngati Huritake, Ngati Wai, Ngati Paretaiko, Ngati Te Rahopupuwai
