Marama Davidson becomes newest Green Party MP #loveyoumarama

It’s just been announced that Marama Davidson, poet, activist and mother, will become the Green Party’s 14th Member of Parliament.

Former Green Party co-leader Russel Norman is to step down as an MP at the end of October to become Greenpeace New Zealand’s executive director.

Marama Davidson (Te Rarawa/Ngapuhi/Ngati Porou) is a wahine toa who for over the last 20 years has used her time, energy and passion to give voice on issues concerning Tangata Whenua as well as social justice.

TangataWhenua.com is extremely pleased that she is going to Parliament and belives that this simple step will bring focus to critical issues facing our whānau in particular and society as a whole.
